The are a few English learning software programs you can buy, including some you’ve probably heard of. These programs are a great way to add a little extra help and structure (organization) to your learning.

The Pimsleur method puts you into a classroom all over again, but this time it’s just you and the teacher. The method uses 30-minute audio lessons that focus on participation and natural learning (learn the way kids learn).
This method was created by a doctor over 50 years ago! It’s used by students, professionals and even soldiers. The lessons work in levels, each one building from the last. Each level will teach you about 500 words, but the focus is on structure and not vocabulary. The Pimsleur method believes in teaching how to build your own sentences and how to speak naturally. Once you’ve learned that, vocabulary will be easier to add.
Pimsleur is made to be used on the go, or while you’re doing something else. You can listen to the lessons from anywhere, and it only takes about a half an hour a day. If you have a busy schedule, this might be the best software for you.

The eEnglish Learning lessons are among the most affordable, but they’re also the most specific. eEnglish’s Pronunciation Power program helps you learn and improve 52 sounds from the English language. You can take a speech test, which will determine what sounds you need to work on the most.
To learn how to pronounce sounds, the program shows you how your lips and tongue should look. You can also check your speech by using your computer’s microphone. eEnglish doesn’t just teach you how to say sounds, it also helps you work on saying full words and sentences correctly, including where to put the stress, timing and rhythm, and intonation (the “music” of the word).

Programs For Learning English
Many of the other English learning software programs focus on teaching you how to be comfortable speaking and understanding the language. The Complete English Web Suite is more about learning the rules and individual words.
The web suite teaches grammar and vocabulary, and helps you write and read better. The program works by multiple choice, interactive text and questions, and mini lessons. It also tracks your progress, so you know what you learned well and what you still need to work on.
