To download Fusion 360, perform the following steps:

Autodesk provides free access to Fusion 360 software for education, in addition to learning tools. Get a free 3-year education license now.

It is a system-standard pkg file and can be installed using the customary methods: double-click on the package in finder, use the 'installer' command in the terminal (with the required sudo), or with software distribution and managements systems such as Apple RDP or Munki.

To update the Lab Installation of Fusion 360 or lab installs, download an updated Autodesk Fusion 360 Installer for Windows and then run the installer with a command line argument:

Some Education Institutions use a batch file to help with the update process. See the below for more info:

  1. Create an account or login to the Autodesk Education Community: www.autodesk.com/education (This is the site where schools, students (13 years and older), and teachers can download Autodesk software for their personal computer (for educational, non-commercial))
  2. Sign in or register for an Autodesk account. Then, select your “Educational role”, and complete the form that follows this step to access the education community. You’ll be asked for details about your educational institution and how you plan to use your software.
  3. From the “Get free software” page www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/all scroll down and click “Fusion 360 for Educational Institutions”, which is intended for lab use.
  4. Download the Fusion lab install package and execute it on each client:
